As #summer is almost in full swing, UAE’s residents and citizens are now looking towards booking their summer vacations and visiting friends and family in their home countries. Day by day, we see new travel corridors and countries open to #UAE visitors without the need for quarantine.
After the decision made yesterday between the UAE and Italian governments, all travellers from the UAE can now enter #Italy without #quarantine. Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports approved of the decision stating “This is an important step towards recovery from the Pandemic and will give travellers to #Europe the opportunity to plan long-anticipated trips to one of the world's most popular destinations.”
The UAE-Italy travel corridor comes after a series of similar agreements by the UAE including Greece, Serbia, Seychelles and Bahrain. However, the UAE is still in talks with the #UK government about the ‘red list’ travel ban which has been in place since January 2021, under current rules anyone arriving from the UAE is subject to a mandatory hotel quarantine which runs up a hefty price tag of £1,750 ($2,428) per person. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates Chairman and Chief Executive, is optimistic the ban will be removed soon, he commented: “Our officials are already speaking and taking that very seriously; talking to the government and to the officials there to make sure that we should be very soon off the red list,”.
So where can we currently #travel? As per 1st June, here are some of the destinations UAE residents and citizens can now travel to without the need for quarantine. (Note the list is subject to changes daily and it is advised to check before booking).
Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Romania, Serbia, Georgia, Montenegro, Lebanon, Maldives, Seychelles, Bahrain, Mexico, USA, Turkey, Barbados, Ecuador, Belize
